Important!!
To
ensure your complete satisfaction with your new Rebco Electronic Wheel
Scales, please read this operation manual completely before use!!
Before
you begin…
Attach
the power converter (charger)
Rebco Electronic Wheel Scales are 100% tested and
the internal battery charged prior to leaving our factory.
However, the battery can lose its charge when it is inactive for
a period of time. Therefore,
we suggest that you charge your control unit for at least 8 hours prior
to use. This will ensure
accurate readings and increase your overall satisfaction.
To
charge the battery, plug the power converter into the control box and be
sure that the “ON/OFF” switch in the rear of the control box is in
the “OFF” position. Plug
the power converter into a wall outlet.
ON
EARLY MODELS, IF THE SWITCH IS NOT IN THE “OFF” POSITION THE BATTERY
WILL NOT CHARGE AND YOU MAY ENCOUNTER FALSE READINGS WHILE USING THE
SCALE SYSTEM. FOLLOWING THE
ABOVE PROCEDURE WILL ELIMINATE A LOW BATTERY SITUATION.
SYSTEM
SET-UP
- Find a level surface to place
vehicle on. Place the
Exacto Weigh control box on a stand or table close to the vehicle.
Plug in the power converter and place the “ON/OFF” switch
in the “OFF” position. If
you are not near an AC power outlet, a fully charged battery will
usually operate for several hours before it gets low and requires
charging.
- Place a scale pad next to each
wheel of the vehicle with the cable connector facing towards the
center of the vehicle (this
will help eliminate the possibility of kicking the cable or running
over a cable with a floor jack).
- Run the cables from the control
box under the center of the vehicle and attaché each cable to the
scale pad specified on the cable.
- Press the “ZERO” button on
the keypad of the control box.
All six display readouts should read ZERO at this time.
If the display does not read all zeros, press the “ZERO”
button again.
- Raise the vehicle and place the
scale pads under each wheel. Lower the car onto the scale pads. Use caution so as not to drop the vehicle on the pads,
as this may damage the load cells.
When the vehicle is on the pads, settle all the
chassis/suspension of the vehicle.
DO NOT PRESS THE “ZERO” BUTTON WHILE THE
VEHICLE IS ON SCALE PADS OR THE PROCESS WILL HAVE TO BE STARTED FROM THE
BEGINNING.
- The numbers displayed on the
screen are the weights as shown in relation to the vehicle on the
keypad.

- You will note that there is an
asterisk (*) next to each one of the individual wheel weights on the
display screen. The (*)
indicates that the scale pad is activated and contributing to the
percentage on the upper right of the screen. By activating or deactivating the (*) of the pads you
can then display any combination of percentages you wish.
EXAMPLE:
Calculating
Left Side Weight Percentage:
- All four wheel displays should
display the asterisk (*).
- Press the “RF” button to
deactivate the right front scale pad and eliminate the (*) on the
right front display.
- Press the “RR” button to
deactivate the right rear scale pad and eliminate the (*) on the
right rear wheel display.
- The (*) should now be displayed
next to the Left Front (LF) and Left Rear (LR) displays.
The upper right display will show the left side weight
percentage.
- To calculate other combinations
of wheel weight percentages, simply press the appropriate buttons to
activate or deactivate the scale pads to achieve your desired
percentage.
PRINTER:
If
you have purchased the optional printer #110-1025, attach the printer to
the control box with the cable provided and plug into an AC power
source. Press the
“PRINT” button and the vehicle corner weights will be printed out.
